Our information technology course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experiments to prepare you for today’s rapidly evolving working world.

The syllabus provides a comprehensive overview of all areas of IT, allowing you to keep your career options open and explore a wide range of in-demand topics. You can look forward to securing a key role in any industry that requires advanced skills in technology in roles such as a web developer, IT or network administrator, IT project management, cloud administrator, among many more
 
  • Matriculation/Foundation CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 AND credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent
  • STPM Grade C (GP 2.0) in any 2 subjects AND credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent
  • STAM Grade of Jayyid, AND credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent;OR
  • A-LEVEL Pass with Grade D in any two (2) subjects AND credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent;OR
  • Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information Systems or equivalent with CGPA 2.50 out of 4.00 AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent. Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process;OR
  • Diploma in any non-computing field with CGPA 2.75 out of 4.00 AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent, Candidates with CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.50 with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment process;OR
  • UEC Grade B in five (5) subjects including Mathematics; OR
  • Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA 2.50 out of 4.00, subject to passing the bridging programme;OR
  • Other equivalent qualification as recognised by the Government of Malaysia
Notes:
    • The credit requirement at SPM level can be waived should the grades obtained at the STPM/STAM/Diploma/Matriculation/Foundation level are equivalent/higher

English language competency requirements for international students:
  • Proof of English proficiency certification will be required e.g IELTS, MUET, TOEFL. See the website for the minimum qualifying score
  • English language requirements can be waived if the international student EITHER comes from a country that uses English as the official language OR the entry qualification uses English as the medium of instruction.

Assessments under the Bachelor of Information Techonology (Honours) are varied, and are either based on; Full coursework (100%) or a combination of coursework (60%) and a final examination (40%). The delivery methods include lectures, tutorials, practical, research projects, seminars, industrial visits etc. Our students are expected to demonstrate their understanding through several forms of assessments, including open/closed book final examinations, practical assessments, quizzes, presentations, class participation, report-writing, mini projects, and research project with project report / viva-voce.
