On 11 June, IUMW PhD students attended the PhD Resource Day at the IUMW Library. The occasion served as a platform for IUMW PhD students to get to know the resources and facilities provided by the University to support their postgraduate study learning needs, encourage the utilisation of the Postgraduate Resource Centre for their research and learning, as well as create an opportunity for the students to build rapport with their supervisors and peers.
Through this session, students were able to communicate face-to-face with their supervisors regarding the feedback on research, expectation and target of completion, network with peers to exchange research ideas, seek opportunities for research collaboration, as well as exploring resources and facilities provided by the University to support their learning needs.
Programmes that were run on the day included an IUMW Thesis Hub launching by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Kamila Ghazali, a talk by Prof. Dr Ainin Binti Sulaiman on “Journey Towards a Successful Viva Voce”, Meet and Greet session with the Supervisors under the Faculty of Business, as well as a PhD semester progress report presentation.
