Vice-Chancellor Foreword
Education in the 21st century is about embracing digital technology. With technology constantly evolving, this is no easy task. Educators, in particular, have to keep up with not only the latest developments in their field but new teaching methods as we seek to equip future generations of Malaysians with technical, creative and communication skills.
It is therefore heartening to see IUMW striving to do just that through its truly multi-mode and blended programmes aimed at fostering a critical mindset to prepare students for an ever-changing market. Moving forward, IUMW will also be offering new specialisations to catalyse the Fourth Industrial Revolution as addressed in the Malaysia Education Blueprint for Higher Education 2015-2025.
Just as importantly, these programmes serve to equip students with people skills, which are just as important in today’s job market. The future of business and technology is collaborative, and learning how to work as a team – especially in a diverse, cross-cultural setting – is critical, whether you are in the public or private sector or intend to be your own boss.
